Amber Worner, M.Ed., LPC, RPT, C-AdPt, CDWF (Licensed Professional Counselor, Registered Play Therapist, Certified Adlerian Play Therapist, Certified Daring Way Facilitator), is the founder of CareFully.  She holds a Master of Education with an emphasis on School Counseling from Sul Ross State University.  Amber was formerly a Certified Special Education Teacher and a Certified Professional School Counselor. Her experience working in the public school setting is a valuable asset when working with school aged clients who may be having difficulties in an academic setting.

During her University training Amber became interested in the amazing results of Play Therapy as an effective therapy in working with young children.  Since then she has received hundreds of hours of play therapy training from the world renowned three time Lifetime Achievement Award Winner, Adlerian Play Therapist creator, Dr. Terry Kottman.  Additional expertise include working with children and parents a well as collaborating with public schools and daycares.

Amber believes that finding a therapist is a very personal decision and "one size does not fit all."  She is a Christian woman, but is not formally trained as a Christian counselor.  Amber is comfortable praying with clients or seeking biblical answers when requested by a client..

"We don't see things as they are, we see things as we are."

- Anais Nin

"Striving to see the clients story through their eyes is paramount in my work.  Only then can I truly begin to understand their unique journey and embrace a client where they are.  There is power and growth when you feel like someone sees, understands, and accepts you at your core.  I view therapy as a collaborative journey, and I am always honored and humbled when a client chooses me to walk alongside them."
